Elden Ring Fans Can't Believe FromSoft Just Announced DLC On A Random Tuesday

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have finally confirmed Elden Ring DLC is on the way. There have been database updates, playtest changes, and mined code all hinting at more Elden Ring DLC, but both the developer and publisher remained stubbornly silent. They didn't even say something on Elden Ring's anniversary, instead opting to host a low-key PvP-focused event in Stockholm, Sweden.

But today, the silence was shattered with a single tweet. The Tarnished shall rise once again in Shadow of the Erdtree, which was officially confirmed earlier today. The tweet came paired with a single image showing a sickly Erdtree and a blonde figure riding on Torrent that fans believe to be Miquella. Theories are already swirling on the Elden Ring subreddit suggesting the DLC will take place long after Godwyn’s Deathroot has finally strangled the light from the Erdtree.

Elsewhere on the Elden Ring subreddit, Tarnished simply can’t get over the fact that Bandai Namco and FromSoft felt the best way to announce Elden Ring DLC was on a random Tuesday.

"No way they just announced DLC in a tweet at 3 AM on a random Tuesday," wrote on Reddit user on a post that has since climbed to over 18,000 upvotes. "This is why I never put my ambitions to rest, no matter how foolish," came the appropriate reply in the comments.

Other Tarnished memed the DLC announcement, with one noting it was the most "gigachad" move to forgo announcing DLC at both The Game Awards and Elden Ring's anniversary to instead announce today. Another post suggested that FromSoftware decided to make the announcement today in order to troll the rabid Elden Ring community.

"They 100% did it on purpose to play with our emotions," one Redditor commented. "I refuse to believe that image wasn't ready a week ago lol."

It is highly unusual for Game companies to make momentous announcements at random times, but FromSoftware is nothing if not unconventional. We still don't have any idea when Shadow of the Erdtree will arrive, but if the announcement is anything to go by, it'll be some random Tuesday some months down the line.
