Dog With Two Legs Paralyzed Has To Crawl Dozens Of Kilometers To Seek Help

The images of the poor dog walking for tens of kilometers with his legs completely paralyzed have made many people unable to hold back their tears.

An unlucky dog has paralyzed all of his legs, causing many people to feel sorry. Unfortunately, when Poppy was a child, the dog suffered a serious injury that left both hind legs paralyzed.

Possibly, Poppy accidentally bumped into another animal or someone intentionally kicked her. At the emergency room, the doctors there determined Poppy had suffered from her injuries for weeks, even months, with no one to care for her. While working at an elephant research camp in the Okavango region of northern Botswana, Susanne Vogel was shocked when she discovered Poppy. “The dog had to crawl completely because both hind legs couldn’t move, Poppy couldn’t walk but still tried to get help,” said Vogel, an employee of the rescue station.

Vogel and her colleagues immediately took Poppy inside and took great care of her. Since the nearest veterinary station was also an 8-hour drive away, Poppy had to temporarily stay here for a few days until Vogel had time to take her to the doctor. Apparently, the puppy is still panicking after going through a long journey to seek help.

Vogel said that the camp is located in a remote place, there are few people living there, there are many elephants and animals, there are also lions, he was also surprised that the dog was thin, thin and weak but still can be found here. After seeing Poppy’s wet appearance with a large wound, the rescue team couldn’t help but be emotional and told themselves to take good care of the puppy. In the end, Poppy and her new partner, Graham McCulloch, drove the eight-hour journey, traversed many treacherous roads and even had to cross a river by ferry to get to the nearest medical station. The doctor discovered that Poppy was 7 months old. and required early surgery to repair the injured leg bone.

A member of the relief team, Amanda Stronz, set up a Go Fund Me fund to raise money for Poppy to have surgery. surgical possibility.Ms Strozza said doctors thought Poppy’s chances of recovering from the surgery were slim. However, the dog is very energetic and with what Poppy has to “strive” to live, everyone has to respect.

After a few days of injections and a moderate diet, Poppy’s condition improved significantly. However, doctors still want the dog to make a full recovery before the risky major surgery. Poppy amazed the rescue team with her speed of recovery.

Poppy is currently staying with a friend of Vogel’s awaiting her full recovery. After Poppy’s story was told, she received a lot of attention and encouragement from people around the world. Many families have come to adopt Poppy, to soon become the owner of this brave dog.
